Submitting a request for Design Review to the Committee

When submitting a project for review by the committee, please refer to the application for the additional information required.  A plat of survey will ALWAYS be required. The signed original application and all supporting materials should be MAILED to address listed on the application packet cover page.

You will receive mailed notification of receipt of your application. This notification will have the date of receipt and a tracking number. You will receive a response within 30 days of the date of receipt. In most cases a response may be received from the ARC in about 10 days, however it can take as long as 30 days from receipt of a completed application to complete the review process.

One copy of the original application package and committee response letter will be returned to you after the review has been completed. One copy will be retained on file with the homeowners association.

Unit Owners should be aware that when a building permit is required, the Village of Round Lake will require a copy of the written ARC approval to be submitted along with the permit application. 

You WILL NOT be able to apply for a building permit without valid ARC approval.

Unit Owners are advised to submit their ARC applications as far in advance as possible and no less than 30 days prior to the permit application or expected start date.

Village policies and procedures are subject to change at anytime. Residents are advised to consult with the Building Department to review their policies and procedures.

Remember, spring and summer are the busiest periods for both the committee and the Village if you’re planning a project during these times, get your application in early. Association approvals are valid for one year from the date issued and may be extended if necessary.
